Getting started.

Q.01.01 How does Battle Skin Trade work?

We aggregate CS2 skin listings from trusted partner marketplaces, enrich them with float values, pattern indices, sticker data, and price intelligence, and resell them through a curated catalog. You pay with card in EUR, paste your Steam trade URL, and we deliver the skin via Steam trade offer — typically within 15 minutes to a few hours.

Helpful?
Q.01.02 Do I need a Steam account?

Yes. CS2 skins live entirely inside the Steam ecosystem — we need a valid Steam trade URL to deliver your purchase. You’ll also need Steam Mobile Authenticator enabled and your inventory set to public or friends-only.

Helpful?
Q.01.03 What's a Steam trade URL?

It’s a unique link from your Steam profile that lets others send you trade offers without being on your friend list. Find it at steamcommunity.com/my/tradeoffers/privacy. You paste this at checkout — we do not need your Steam password.

Payment & pricing.

Q.02.01 Which payment methods do you accept?

Card (Visa, Mastercard) via Stripe. All payments are in EUR. Crypto and additional rails are on our roadmap.

Helpful?
Q.02.02 Why is the price different from Steam Market?

Steam Market prices include Valve’s 15% cut and items can’t be cashed out — Steam Wallet is a one-way street.

Third-party marketplaces typically run 10–25% below Steam Market, and our prices reflect the live partner market plus a small margin to cover delivery, support, fraud screening, and the curation work behind each listing.

Helpful?
Q.02.03 Do prices update in real time?

The catalog refreshes from upstream sources several times per day. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay — no surprise re-quotes after you commit.

Helpful?

Delivery.

Q.03.01 How fast is delivery?

Most trade offers are sent within 15 minutes of payment confirmation. Delivery itself completes as soon as you accept the offer in Steam. The 7-day Steam Mobile Authenticator hold period applies to brand-new mobile auth users only.

Helpful?
Q.03.02 What if I'm trade-banned or have a full inventory?

We hold the order for 7 days. If you can resolve the block within that window (Steam Support, inventory cleanup, etc.), we resend the offer. If not, we refund minus a 5% handling fee — see Refund Policy §2.2.

Helpful?
Q.03.03 The trade offer didn't arrive. What now?

Check your Steam trade URL is correct on your account page. If it’s been more than 60 minutes since order confirmation and there’s still no offer in Steam Trade Offers, email us — we’ll trace the delivery state on our side.

Skins & authenticity.

Q.04.01 What is float value?

Float is a number between 0 and 1 that determines a skin’s exterior wear and visual condition. Lower float = better condition.

Valve’s exterior bands are: Factory New ≤ 0.07, Minimal Wear ≤ 0.15, Field-Tested ≤ 0.38, Well-Worn ≤ 0.45, Battle-Scarred ≤ 1.00. We display the exact float on every product page.

Helpful?
Q.04.02 What's a pattern index?

Pattern index (0–999) controls how a skin’s texture is positioned and colored. For some skins it’s irrelevant; for others (Case Hardened, Fade, Marble Fade, Doppler) it drives huge premiums — Blue Gems, perfect Fades, specific knife phases. We show pattern index on every listing.

Helpful?
Q.04.03 Are these real skins or some kind of token?

Real CS2 skins, in the original Steam item ecosystem, delivered to your Steam inventory via trade offer. We’re not a tokenization platform and we don’t issue any kind of wrapped or synthetic asset.

Helpful?
Q.04.04 What about StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions?

Both are supported and clearly badged on listings. StatTrak™ skins track kill counts; Souvenir skins commemorate Major tournament drops and carry team/player stickers. The badge and the product title both reflect the variant.

Account & security.

Q.05.01 Will you ever ask for my Steam password?

Never. Anyone asking for your Steam password is trying to scam you. We only need your Steam trade URL — a public link that authorizes incoming trade offers, nothing more.

Helpful?
Q.05.02 Is my payment data safe?

Yes. Payment is handled by PCI DSS Level 1 processors (Stripe) directly; card numbers never touch our servers. The site runs over TLS at all times.

Helpful?
Q.05.03 How do I delete my account?

Request deletion through our contact page, using the email address on your account. We close the account and delete personal data within 30 days, retaining only what we’re legally required to keep (tax/AML records — see Privacy Policy §5).
