These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Battle Skin Trade (the “Service”). By creating an account or completing a purchase you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, have a valid active Steam account in good standing, and reside in a jurisdiction where the sale and ownership of digital in-game items is lawful. By using the Service you represent and warrant that all of the above are true.
2. Nature of items sold
Battle Skin Trade is a peer-to-peer marketplace for Counter-Strike 2 in-game cosmetic items (“Skins”). Skins are virtual goods governed by the Steam Subscriber Agreement and remain subject to Valve Corporation’s terms at all times. Battle Skin Trade does not own, mint, or guarantee the persistent existence of any Skin. Items are delivered via Steam’s trade offer system.
3. Account registration
- You must register with an accurate email and a unique password.
- You must provide a valid Steam trade URL to receive purchased items.
- You are responsible for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately of unauthorized access.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts found in violation of these Terms, suspected of fraud, or required to be terminated by law.
4. Orders, pricing, and payment
- All prices are listed in EUR including any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
- Prices for individual Skins fluctuate with the secondary market and may change between page load and checkout. The price at checkout is the binding price.
- Payment is processed by third-party providers (Stripe, PayPal). Payment data is not stored on our servers.
- An order is confirmed only after successful payment authorization.
5. Delivery
- Items are delivered via Steam trade offer to the trade URL on your account.
- Delivery is typically initiated within 15 minutes of payment confirmation and completed within 24 hours, subject to Steam’s 8-hour minimum hold period for new trade partners or Steam Mobile Authenticator state.
- You are responsible for ensuring your Steam account is configured to receive trade offers (Mobile Authenticator enabled, inventory privacy set, not currently trade-banned).
- If we cannot deliver due to your Steam account status (trade ban, full inventory, invalid trade URL), we will hold the order for 7 days. If delivery is still not possible, we will refund the purchase minus a 5% handling fee.
6. Right of withdrawal — digital content exception
EU consumers normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal (Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 9). However, this right does not apply to “supply of digital content not on a tangible medium” if performance has begun with the consumer’s prior express consent and acknowledgment of loss of the right (Art. 16(m)).
By completing checkout you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the Steam trade offer is initiated. See our Refund Policy for details on the limited circumstances where refunds remain available.
7. Prohibited use
You will not:
- Use the Service for money laundering, fraud, tax evasion, or any unlawful purpose.
- Use stolen payment methods or unauthorized Steam accounts.
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access listings or place orders without prior written permission.
- Attempt to manipulate prices, create artificial demand, or wash-trade.
- Resell items obtained from us under terms misrepresenting the source.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our database or proprietary algorithms.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that Skin prices will remain stable, that any Skin will retain market value, that Steam will continue to support the underlying game, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under EU consumer protection law.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and, where applicable, the law of the consumer’s habitual residence. Consumer protection rights under your local law are not affected.
The European Commission provides an Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/.
11. Changes
We may amend these Terms. Material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance via email or site notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
